Job Description

Dynacare is currently searching for Medical Laboratory Assistant(s)/ Phlebotomist(s) to join our team in Regina, Saskatchewan. These are contract positions until March 29, 2018. The role is a float role, working 50-75 hours bi-weekly, various shifts/hours and locations, including weekends.



  • Performs phlebotomy as part of regular duties
  • Responsible for the preparation of samples and/or reagents for routine processing
  • Performs simple non-interpretive tests under minimal supervision.
  • Ensures quality control checks and standards are run as required.
  • Participates in all quality assurance programs and ensures company guidelines are observed.
  • Performs routine maintenance of laboratory equipment as appropriate.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures.


  • Strong phlebotomy skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer order-entry skills (order approx. 40 patients/hour)
  • An approved laboratory assistant course or equivalent is preferred.
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to troubleshoot independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a group environment
