Job Description

 

Dynacare is looking for a Senior Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Brampton, ON.  The Senior Accounts Receivable Clerk is accountable for cash management of accounts receivable. Accountable for the processing of invoices and/or collection of accounts due. Accountable for the follow-up of direct receivables to ensure collection on a timely basis. Monitor accounts and reports on delinquent and potential loss situations. Ensures all government legislation and requirements are met. This is an 18-month contract position working Monday-Friday for 37.5 hours/week.

 

The Senior Accounts Receivable Clerk is accountable for:

  • Daily Cash Deposit procedure
  • Collect and log all deposits from collection centers and from various patients and clients received through incoming mail.
  • Prepare bank deposits on a daily basis.
  • Review all requisitions daily to ensure compliance with the MOH mandatory regulations
  • Ensure information provided from the patients and physicians is recorded completely and is updated in the database.
  • Generate reports of remaining incomplete billing. Follow-up with physicians on any missing information.
  • Review the remittance advice reports generated mid-month after the MOH payment tape has been applied.
  • Adjust claims that were billed in error and process remittance inquiries.
  • Manually post payments for any mis-matched MOH payments.
  • Ensure all outstanding unpaid claims are reviewed, investigated, and rebilled.

This opportunity may be for you if your career background includes:

  • Two years community college or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Great Plains and AS400 systems
  • Fluent in English
  • Intermediate accounting skills
  • Strong documentation skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite – with focus on Excel
  • Ability to analyze data and provide conclusions.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to grasp knowledge quickly.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
