Job Description

Dynacare is looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our Finance team in Brampton, Ontario for a 12-month contract.  The Continuous Improvement Specialist - Finance will complete Finance projects to improve efficiency and accuracy exclusively for the Finance department.  The Candidate will have a good mix of process improvement experience as well as a Financial background.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Complete continuous improvement projects specifically to Finance
  • Reviewing and analyzing programs and systems to ensure continuous improvement targets are achieved 
  • Bringing continuous improvement processes to the business, coaching various stakeholders through the process 
  • Ensure the implementation of Six Sigma Lean solutions that are efficient, front line focused and improve overall workflow, quality, cost and service
  • Provide input into strategic business planning specifically to Finance
  • Review and analyze programs and systems to ensure continuous improvement targets are achieved
  • Ensure the systematic roll-out of operational improvement initiatives
  • Support the Enterprise effort to build on the existing improvements and work with cross functional teams to initiate and deliver new improvement initiatives 



Key Qualifications:


  • Lean Six Sigma training and demonstrated ability to apply the methodology to complex projects (Certified Black Belt or Lean Belt preferred)
  • CPA certified
  • Ability to lead project teams, must be able to direct team members, communicate effectively to multiple levels of management and assist the organization in implementing change.
  • In the leadership role, the CI Specialist Finance should understand the current market environment of the organization, map the business-level challenges to the day-to-day working of individual functional areas and drive the program accordingly.
  • Candidates demonstrating cause-and-effect thinking and data-driven analysis in previous assignments are equipped in part for success.
  • Ability to train/mentor , ability to train the finance team members participating in projects on the CI way
  • Functional competencies – Must understand how different functions work together and influence the organization. Projects are usually large in scope and commonly involve multiple functions such as finance, sales, marketing, human resources and IT
  • Excellent facilitation skills
  • Strong leadership competencies
  • Good coaching skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
